Summary: The description, specs, photos, user ratings and user comments for the Ruger SP101 revolvers, including the new .22 LR model.
All SP101 revolvers boast solid steel sidewalls (no side-plates), making them rugged, reliable and dependable. Available in .22 LR, .327 Federal Magnum, .38 Special and .357 Magnum (which also accepts the less expensive .38 Special cartridges), the SP101 is built on a stainless steel frame with a stainless steel finish. The magnum models feature a black ramp front sight and a fixed rear sight (the .327 Federal Mag version sports a windage adjustable rear sight). The .22 LR model carries a fiber-optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight.
The triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear and bottom for more positive alignment and dependable operation shot after shot. The patented Ruger transfer bar mechanism provides security against accidental discharge. Take down of integrated subassemblies requires no special tools and allows for no hassle maintenance and assembly.
The grip frame design accomodates a variety of custom grips. The SP101 comes with a cushioned rubber grip with a synthetic insert and no exposed metal in the backstrap. You can also get it with Crimson Trace Lasergrips.
The SP101 comes with a hard plastic case.
