Odd that while I’ve been a Sig person for years, the P220 was NOT a pistol I would carry, ever since it was the Browning .45acp BDA. I’ve bought and sold a few P220′s, but until a bud handed me his Carry Dark Elite, I would never have considered owning a P220. Now, I am hard pressed as to which .45 I reach for. The Sig C3 or the Sig P220 Carry Dark Elite. I like the feel, the handling characteristics, the accuracy, and the reliability of the CDE, regardless of the type of ammo I feed it. It has rapidly become one of my two favorite CC weapons, and goes with me when I travel, which is a lot. I carried a P229 as a duty weapon for years and trusted it. Wish I’d had this CDE during that time. The four extra rounds would not have kept me from carrying the CDE.
