Manufacturer’s Description
The Colt Custom Shop has created the Presentation Grade 1911 pistols. Keeping with the traditional design, the Presentation Grade pistol is constructed on the original M1911 (O1918) platform and finished in the famous lustrous Royal Colt Blue or nickel finish. A Colt engraver etches 25 percent of the pistol’s surface, after which the pistol is fitted with smooth ivory grips. No detail is overlooked, from the period correct components to the starburst-pattern grip screws. Features include the series 70 firing system, a 5″ barrel, WWI style manual thumb and grip safeties, a tapered blade front sight, a u-notch rear sight, a forged knurled slide stop, a knurled thumb safety and magazine catch.
To exhibit these finely crafted and engraved firearms, each pistol is provided with a custom fitted walnut presentation case. A certificate will accompany the pistol allowing the firearm to be returned to Colt to be engraved with any three letters or characters of the owner’s choice.
