Manufacturer’s Description
Kimber‘s Ultra+ CDP II is a compact, 1911-style semiauto chambered in .45 ACP. It’s a full-length grip version of Kimber’s Ultra CDP II, which features a short grip.
All CDP pistols have 30 lines-per-inch checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard for a positive grip with wet or cold hands. Standard features include ambidextrous thumb safety, an aluminum trigger, low-profile three dot (green) night sights and a Carry Bevel treatment that rounds and blends edges so they cannot snag on clothing or holsters.
CDP pistols are made entirely in the Kimber Custom Shop, and are chambered in .45 ACP. Other features include a match-grade barrel, stainless steel slide, double diamond rosewood grips, a 7075-T7 aluminum frame with KimPro II finish and Carry Melt treatment for rounded and blended edges.

My cousing has this exact gun. It’s very well built and feels sturdy in your hands!
Just put 100 rounds through a brand new one today. No failures of any kind and just to put to rest the magazine issues I always hear about, I have even old military 1911 magazines and used them. Guess what? It worked with Sig Sauers, Colt, military and the one it came with and NO failures of any kind!!
One of the military mags was even new!!
It isn’t the magazines! Learn to lube your 1911’s properly and you won’t have issues.
Use lubriplate. Lube the barrel, bushing, lugs and under the barrel where in front of the link.
Lube the slide rails, slide lugs, and in from of the lugs because the barrel rides there too!
Lube the frame rails and on top of them, and where the disconnector is.
Thousands of rounds many 1911’s and never had ONE of them fail to work.
