Summary: The description, specs, pricing and photo for the Nighthawk Chris Costa Compact pistol.

Manufacturer’s Description

Nighthawk says its Chris Costa Compact is an officer-size, 1911-style semiauto pistol chambered in .45 ACP and built to noted firearms trainer Chris Costa’s specifications. The slide has been machined to have a completely different look and feel than any other models, with a multi-faceted slide top. The slide features top serrations culminating in an arrow point at the front to direct shooters’ eyes to the red fiber optic front sight. This model incorporates Nighthawk’s new Everlast Recoil system, which Nighthawk says allows shooters to go over 10,000 rounds without a spring change.

Other features include:

  • Nighthawk’s new fully machined, one-piece, officer size, mainspring housing/magwell;
  • black Heinie Slant Pro rear night sights;
  • a high cut front strap (lightweight aluminum medium solid);
  • a heavy bevel on the bottom of the slide;
  • hand serrations on the rear of the slide;
  • a crowned barrel beveled flush with the bushing;
  • 20 lpi checkering on the mainspring housing/magwell;
  • a match trigger;
  • black 10-8 Performance 5-lpi grips;
  • a red fiber optic front sight (a tritium dot front sight upgrade is available);
  • an extended tactical mag catch; and
  • the Costa logo engraved in silver after melonite finish.
