The Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced Threaded Barrel is a new version of Remington’s 1911 R1 Enhanced pistol that features a threaded barrel so shooters can add a suppresor. This 1911-style pistol is chambered in .45 ACP and built on a carbon steel frame with a carbon steel slide with a satin-black oxide finish.
Other features include:
- A match-grade stainless steel 5″ barrel and bushing;
- a flared and lowered ejection port;
- tall two-dot sights;
- front and rear slide serrations;
- a beavertail grip safety with a checkered memory bump;
- an enhanced hammer;
- a thread protector;
- an anodized aluminum match trigger;
- an enhanced wide thumb safety;
- a flat, checkered mainspring housing (20 lpi);
- front grip strap serrations;
- black/pewter laminate grips with a thumb groove and ambidextrous cut;
- two eight-round magazines with bumper pads; and
- a custom carrying case.
