Manufacturer’s Description
The Rock Island Armory 1911 Tactical CS is a 1911-style pistol built on a steel frame with a 3.5″ bull barrel/slide and chambered in .45 ACP or 9mm. Features include:
- A parkerized finish;
- either smooth wood grips, checkered wood grips, checkered black polymer grips or VZ grips;
- either a front dovetail ramp sight or a fiber-optic front sight;
- a snag-free rear sight;
- a series 70 type firing system (i.e., no firing pin safety);
- a guide rod;
- a combat hammer; and
- a skeletonized trigger.
Note: Rock Island Armory imports its version of these pistols from Armscor.

Very reliable. Not ammo finicky. Accurate. Handsome once you replace the stock grips. Affordable quality. Mine shoots a little low. Double taps are awesome and fast. The weight is a small penalty in trade for controllability. Great value and dependable enough for concealed carry.
