Summary: The description, specs, pricing and photo for the Ruger 22/45 Hunter pistols.
The Ruger 22/45 Hunter pistols allow for low-cost practice and provides shooters with the familiar and preferred grip shape and feel of the 1911-style .45 ACP caliber pistol. In addition to the identical grip angles, the 22/45 features the same fire control locations (manual safeties, magazine releases and bolt hold-opens) as the 1911.
The Hunter pistols are available with a 6.88″ or 4″ target crowned, fluted bull barrel with a stainless finish. They are built on a precision-molded Zytel polymer grip frame with a serrated front strap and a checkered back strap for a comfortable, non-slip hold.
The sighting system features precision-adjustable rear, light-gathering HiViz fiber optic front sights (with six interchangeable LitePipes) and a drilled and tapped receiver for Weaver-style scope base adapters (included) for easy mounting of optics.
The manual safety positively locks the sear when applied. The pistol also features an unobtrusive internal lock that locks the safety in the safe position and allows you to safely secure the firearm when not in use. The magazine disconnect prevents discharge when the magazine has been removed, and the patented loaded chamber indicator provide visual and tactile indication the chamber is loaded.
The internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent alignment and higher accuracy potential than conventional moving-slide designs. The pistol also features a bull barrel, a contoured ejection port, easy-to-grasp tapered bolt ears, a conveniently located push-button magazine release on the left side of the frame, two magazines, an external locking device and a hard plastic case.
