Manufacturer’s Description

Smith & Wesson‘s Model 500 is a five-round revolver chambered in .500 SW Magnum and built on a stainless steel frame with a stainless steel cylinder. This single/double-action pistol comes with a 4″, 6.5″, 7.5″, 8.375″ or 10.5″ barrel.

The 4″ version sports a satin stainless finish, a synthetic grip, a red ramp front sight, and an adjustable rear sight. Additional features for this pistol include an internal lock and two easily removeable muzzle compensators to accomodate different types of ammo.

The 6.5″ version sports a satin stainless finish, a synthetic grip, a red ramp front sight, and an adjustable white-outline rear sight. Additional features on this pistol include an internal lock and a muzzle compensator.

The 7.5″ version sports a matte finish, a synthetic grip, an orange ramp front sight, and an adjustable black blade rear sight. Additional features on this pistol include a muzzle compensator.

The 8.375″ version sports a satin stainless finish, a synthetic grip, an interchangeable front sight, and an adjustable rear sight. Additional features on this pistol include an internal lock and a muzzle compensator.

The 10.5″ version sports a matte finish, a synthetic grip, an orange ramp front sight, and an adjustable rear sight. Additional features on this pistol include a muzzle compensator, a Lothar-Walther custom German rifle barrel, and polished polygonal button rifling.

Note: In August 2010, Smith & Wesson announced it is producing 1,000 Bone Collectors, a version of the 10.5″ Model 500. The Bone Collector sports a two-tone finish, a synthetic grip, a dovetail red ramp front sight, an adjustable white-outline rear sight, and a barrel engraved with “X of 1,000.”
