The Smith & Wesson M&P9L pistols are built on a black polymer frame with a stainless slide and barrel with a black melonite finish. They feature a longer barrel than the standard M&P9 (5″ vs. 4.25″)
They come with a steel white-dot dovetail front sight and a steel low-profile carry rear sight. Tritium sights are optional, as is a Crimson Trace Lasergrip.
Another model: Smith & Wesson also offers a Pro Series version of this pistol. It features:
- a 4-5–.5 lb. smooth trigger pull;
- a Novak fiber optic green front sight;
- a Novak-designed reduced glare rear sight; and
- increased sight radius.
Bridging the gap between main production and the Performance Center, the Smith & Wesson Pro Series represents the next step up from standard production line models.
