Manufacturer’s Description

Springfield Armory’s GI 45 pistols are our tribute to the 1911-A1 that started it all. GI 45s are built on a forged steel frame with a forged steel slide and forged steel barrel. Other features include low-profile military sights, a standard magazine well, a spur hammer, a standard ejection port, an arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, vertical slide serrations, and a titanium firing pin.

Springfield offers four full-size GI 45 models:

  1. GI 45 Parkerized. This model features a parkerized steel frame, slide and 5″ barrel; a short GI-style trigger; a GI-style recoil system; hardwood U.S. grips; and one seven-round blued steel magazine.

  2. GI 45 OD Green. This model features a parkerized steel 5″ barrel, a forged steel olive-drab frame and slide, hardwood U.S. grips; and one seven-round blued steel magazine.
  3. GI 45 Stainless Steel. This model features a forged stainless steel frame with matte rounds and polished flats; a forged stainless steel slide with matte rounds and polished flats; a stainless steel 5″ barrel; a short GI-style trigger; a GI-style recoil system; hardwood U.S. grips; and one seven-round stainless steel magazine.
  4. GI 45 High-Capacity Parkerized. This model features a matte-black steel frame; a matte-black steel slide; a 5″ parkerized steel barrel; a short GI-style trigger; black polymer grips; a GI-style recoil system; and one 13-round blued steel magazine.
