Manufacturer’s Description
STI International claims its LS pistols are the slimmest full-power handguns on the market today. Utilizing a new linkless barrel technology with classic 1911, single-stack design, the LS measures only .765″ across the slide and 1.065″ across the slim rosewood grip panels. Designed for concealed carry and self defense, the LS features an undercut trigger guard and front strap STIppling, which transfers most of the felt recoil to the heel of the palm and reduces muzzle rise through the unique design of the STI Camblock linkless barrel system.
The LS uses conventional 1911 controls, with the added advantage that the slide can be cycled for loading or unloading with the thumb safety engaged.
The LS pistol has an abbreviated grip, a 3.4″ barrel and weighs less than 28 oz. It carries a slide integral front sight with a Heinie Low Mount rear sight for a snag-resistant design. The LS comes standard with STI International’s patented trigger assembly and RecoilMaster guide rod system.
2009-production LSs lock the slide back after the last round is fired. This feature had been disabled for a time to accommodate the more powerful LS-40, but now that the LS-40 is no longer in production, the lock back feature has been restored to the LS.
