Manufacturer’s Description
The Taurus 58 is basically a scaled down version of the Beretta 92-style Taurus 92. Chambered in .380 ACP, it features a drop hammer and a forged ordnance-grade alloy frame and hammer-forged steel slide. Other features include:
- A three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety, which Taurus says is more secure than a slide mounted safety and allows for a classic single-action cocked-and-locked mode, as well as functioning as a DA decocking lever;
- a double-action-only trigger system;
- fixed sights;
- a blue or matte stainless steel finish;
- a high-capacity magazine; and
- checkered rubber grips.

I really enjoy this gun. I’ve owned mine for nearly twenty years and it has honestly never failed me. It’s med. frame fills my hand well, much better than the popular compact 380s that I have.
Would give it 10 stars but it has become very hard to find parts, recently paid a premium for extra magazines on eBay.
