The Taylor’s & Co. 1911-A1-style pistol series is reproduced using specifications from original government-issued models. These 1911s are chambered for .45 ACP, Taylor’s says they are a close reproduction of the original single-stack U.S. Government Model 1911.They feature a 5″ forged steel barrel, basic sights and a blued frame.
Taylor’s offers four models of the base 1911: The first features a straight mainspring housing and a checkered grip; model two also sports a straight mainspring housing and checkered grip but includes a lanyard ring; the third features an arched mainspring housing with a checkered grip; and the fourth features an arched mainspring housing with a smooth grip.
Taylor’s also offers a Combat model, which includes a skeletal hammer and trigger, two-piece checkered grips and a checkered mainspring housing. A fiber-optic front sight and adjustable rear sight allow for increased precision, while the extended beavertail provides comfort.
Taylor’s 1911s come complete with a black carrying case and two eight-round magazines. Taylor’s says this pistol is perfect for SASS Wild Bunch matches or basic training.
