Manufacturer’s Description
The Walther PPK/S is a double-action/single-action semiauto chambered in .32 ACP or .380 ACP. It’s virtually the same as the Walther PPK except that it has a slightly taller frame to accomodate one more round.
Features include:
- A firing pin safety;
- a manual safety with decocking function; and
- an extended beaver tail.
Note 1: The “S” in the name stands for “Sport.” The PPK Sport models feature a slightly longer grip than the standard PPK to accomodate more rounds.
Note 2: Walther also offers a .22 LR version of this pistol.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this pistol. I bought it anyway. It has very rapidly become my favorite pistol. Small, with enough power to be taken seriously. Fits very well in the hand. Lots of safety features make it pocket friendly. Very well made. Reliable. Reputable manufacturer.

As a police officer the ppk-380 was my back up from 1978 still a great CCW now have a PPK-S 380, now have PPK-S-22 love them all. My wife loves the 22
My Interarms PPK/S in .380 was very finicky with ammo until I had the feed ramp polished. After about 2,000 rounds, the safety decocker sheared in half and I had to have it replaced by a third party gunsmith (Roger Perry in DE) since Interarms is non-existent. While the gun is relatively heavy, compared to most other .380’s, it still remains a favorite.
